Educating for Peace and Justice: Action for Safe and Equitable Classrooms, Schools and Communities

Educating for Peace and Justice: Action for Safe and Equitable Classrooms, Schools and Communities,” is an exciting new teacher professional development event. This conference combines the former “Safe Schools for All: Peacemaking Education” and “Educational Activism: Social Justice in Classrooms, Schools, and Communities” conferences that we have held each fall, through a collaboration between the organizers of those events. The centerpiece event is a one-day (8:30am – 3:30 pm) professional learning conference sponsored by OISE/UT Student Services — primarily for pre-service teacher education candidates and school-based associate teachers, with graduate students and other educators also welcome.
